Benefits of Credit Repair

Are you tired of hiding in bunkers to escape creditors, you know, those tracking you down by phone call and letter to the point of not answer the phone or opening mail?  If so, you are certainly not the only person that feels this way!  Bad credit can be devastating for a number of reasons.  Good news – you do not have to keep hiding from the enemy – you can crawl out, stand tall, and take action in achieving credit repair.

The first thing is to understand that although you work with credit bureaus on credit repair, there is no guarantee they will remove accurate and negative information.  Now, understand that statement.  In other words, if information on your credit report is accurate but negative, you may not be able to have it removed.  However, there is a possibility through a formal dispute process, you could!  Therefore, start credit repair with your eyes wide open so you know what to do and what to expect.

On the other hand, if information on your credit report is inaccurate or incomplete, then you have every right to go through the credit repair process.  You see, you are protected by the Fair Credit Reporting Act that states:

·     You are entitled to a free copy of your credit report if you have been denied credit, insurance, or employment within the last 60 days.  If an application for credit, insurance, or employment is denied based on information provided on your credit report by the reporting credit bureau, then the company you applied to must by law provide you with the name of the credit bureau, along with address and telephone number.

The benefit of credit repair in this area is that you could actually be denied credit, insurance, and employment.  While most people are aware that a bad credit report could mean not being offered credit for a home, car, boat, or credit card, not many people realize that both insurance and employment are also affected.  You could apply for life insurance and if you have bad credit, be denied.  You could be educated and qualified for a job but if your credit report shows negative entries, you could be passed over for someone with better credit.  Therefore, credit repair is crucial to today’s society.

·     You are entitled to dispute outdated information or mistakes found on your credit report.  For this, you can run the report online and submit a dispute online or submit your dispute in writing along with copies supporting documentation.

The benefit of credit repair is that incorrect, inaccurate, outdated, or erroneous information can be disputed.  Once the information is received by the credit bureau, they have 30 days to investigate your claims.  Once incorrect information is fixed, you will be sent a new version of your credit report, allowing you time to reinvestigate and complete a new dispute process if necessary.

Take advantage of credit repair and take charge of your future now!  Stop being denied credit for things you really want to buy.  Stop being turned down for life or health insurance.  Stop losing the job of your dream all because of bad credit.  By law, you are entitled to credit repair support and methods.  Take advantage of the laws that have been provided for you!

Now, another credit repair law is the Credit Repair Organizations Act.  With this, you are entitled to receive a free copy of the Consumer Credit File Rights under State and Federal Law prior to signing a credit repair contract.  That means if you decide to go through the credit repair process through an attorney or credit repair company, they cannot make false claims about the services they provide, charge you anything until the promised service is complete, and perform any services without having your signature on a written contract.
