Free Credit Repair Sample Letters

 By Erik A. Olsen

Get ready for the best change of your life!  Today, you have the opportunity to go into battle against bad credit.  There is no reason whatsoever why you should be crushed by a bad credit rating.  Just because you had a problem with credit in the past does not mean you have to remain under its control.  In this article, we will provide you with free credit repair sample letters to get your credit back on track.

The first step is to order a copy of your most current credit report.  You can do this by contacting online or by mail, the three primary credit bureaus, which include TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian.  Then, you need to go over every single item to look for inaccuracies.  These inaccuracies could be out-of-date, erroneous, misleading, or inaccurate information.  Once you have identified the discrepancies on the report, you will make a copy of the report so you can circle or highlight the problems.

Once you have completed this step, you would then file a formal dispute, using the appropriate, free credit repair sample letter.  Filling in the information, you want to keep your dispute less than 100 words.  The reason for this is that these credit bureaus receive as many as 10,000 dispute letters each day.  Therefore, they do not have the time or manpower to read long, rambling letters.  In fact, if your letter is more than 100 words, it will be thrown out as “frivolous”.  Here are some beneficial, free credit repair sample letters to use when filing your formal dispute.

If you have been have been told more than once that you were denied credit because of an "insufficient credit file" or "no credit file", and you have accounts with creditors that are not showing up on your credit report, then you have the right to ask the reporting agency to add this information to future reports.  While they are not required to do so, the majority of credit bureaus will add verifiable accounts, although for a fee.  However, you need to understand that should these creditors not report to the credit bureau on a regular basis, the added items would not be updated in your file.  The first of our free credit repair samples letters is to add positive information to your credit report.
